A few weeks ago, I purchased a skin for my iPhone 4 from Gelaskins.com. I read about their products in an article about iPhone accessories, I think it was from CNet (it may have been another source, I can’t find a link now). After reviewing hundreds of artwork options, I eventually settled on one featuring “The Great Wave,” a wood block print by Katsushika Hokusai.
After waiting for it to arrive for about 3 weeks (it was shipped from Toronto, but I only live in Ohio, so it didn’t have to go very far), it finally came. I got a good deal on it, they were having a 15% off sale when I bought it, so I think I only paid around $12.75 USD. Other than the shipping time, I have been very pleased with the skin so far. It doesn’t offer as much protection as my Incase cover does, but I like the profile much better now. Plus, my phone did not fit on my speaker dock with the cover on it, and taking it off every time got to be a pain. It is made of high-grade vinyl and covers the major surfaces of the phone, with the exception of the top and bottom edges. It was fairly easy to apply as well.
If you are looking for a way to personalize your phone or tablet (and not just iPhone, but lots of other devices too), you ought to check out the website (here) and see for yourself. Let me know what you think.
